Salford Film Festival

At the recent Salford Film Festivalthe premier showng took place of several films about the Salford Community, including one which had been banned by the Salford Watch Committee in 1929. This film was the first ever fil m made in Mongolia. depicting life under their revolution of that year. A Film about the "The Working Class Movement Library" narrated By Salford bornChris Eccleston of "DrWho"fame was given its Premier Showing, it depicted how the library had commenced in their home in Old Trafford and now housed in Jubilee House on the Crescent in Salford. It showed the usage by students of the fifty thousand books and pamphlets in the collection. The Staff and voluntary workers, and members of the management committee.
