A very good photo of the opportunity given to visually impaired people to enjoy the wonderful sculpture in this exhibition.


We had a large group visit to a most interesting exhibition of both paintings and sculptures depicting women.

The exhibits showed a shift from the classic interpretation of women to a more natural and up to date composition.

The sculptures were again of women and we were allowed to touch them, which was quite an honour.

The artist who conducted the tour also showed us an example of a dress she had created from balloons and which weighed eight and a half stone.

We were all given the chance to model an item from air dried clay, and I amsorry to say that I ended up with a blob which was not exactly the most inspired piece of art.

Our thanks to the photographer in residence, in other words Mary, for taking these images for our Blog.
Also Ann gave her usual inspired audio descriptions of the exhibits we saw and she impressed Susie MacMurray the artist who took us around the exhibits chosen, with her vivid descriptions.
The curator did a sterling job, wheeling around the portable seats provided for us by the Museum.
