Sad news about John Smethurst.
It is with sadness that I have to report the passing away of our old friend John Smethurst.
Alice sent a message to Henshaws to say that John died last Saturday. She wanted me to let all his friends from the Zoomers class, where he enjoyed many happy hours, the sad news.
I'm sure that you will join me in sending our Deepest Sympathy to Alice.
We shall always remember John with affection, for he was quite a character and has been missed over the past few months.
