Internet explorer shortcut

Alt + D selects the text in the address bar.
So to go to a website without having to find the address bar:

  • press Alt + D
  • type in the website address
  • press enter

An alternative to Alt + D, is F4, which in addition to selecting the text in the address bar, also displays the drop down list of previous addresses.

I've now changed the post to use alt + D, rather than F6.
