Visit to Pump House 20th September 2007

We had pleasant and very informative visit to the Pump House last Thursday and were very well looked after by the museum staff who provided a welcome drink with the welcome greeting.

The exhibition termed "Battle of the Ballot" was crammed full of artifacts, too numerous to absorb in one short morning. Many unique and valuable letters and documents relative to the North West.

There were hosts of wonderful paintings on display and a limited number of banners from their huge collection. The struggle for the democratic vote was long lasting and relatively recent for eighteen year olds.

Mary supplied a mouth watering selection of biscuits to accompany the drink supplied by the museum. A very nice end to our very interesting and informative visit.

The museum will shortly be closed for renovation and they would welcome any suggestions for the improvement of the exhibitions.

A fresh start

Well I trust it will be a E.R.A.! But I am left wondering if some of the zoomers are snoozers! Dave and to a lesser degree Cap Ken! Have kept awake! But I expect the rest of you have been on hush hush work! Not like me on solitaire. Here's looking forward to seeing you all soon
